Take that, pretentious hipsters! It's dilapidated and washed out just like your precious Greenwich Village!

Seriously though, great shot. I like this a lot.

did you do an excessive amount of sharpening to counteract camera shake? because it looks off to me for some reason

what camera shake? it is shot with studio flashes :)
i have not done anything to this picture except converting it into B&W

i looked again, and most of the camera shake is apparent in the doorway, based on you saying you used flash lighting what this suggests is that your ambient light exposure is long enough to show camera shake in the areas where there is ambient light, and your flash is just freezing things where there isn't ambient light. you can still have camera shake when you shoot with strobes if your shutter stays open long enough to expose ambient light.

don't forget, giotto and boticelli used to paint the same stuff time and again. it is not what you do that important, but how you do it. grow up :)

Comparing -this- to a Botticelli or Giotto automatically makes you an idiot. Smarten up :)

you have a tendency to put words on other's mouthes when it sits your agenda. only a self-centered princess could possibly see a comparison with these two fellows in what i said. speaking of -this-, talk to my gallerist, maybe you will convince her that i am an idiot
